Skyline Living Tenants and Staff Give Back During the Holidays!
Knowing that many families in Canada struggle at the end of the year with food insecurity and especially so during a pandemic, we challenged our Skyline Living staff and tenants to a friendly last minute Holiday Food Drive competition.
Our amazing tenants and staff stepped up to the challenge this past December and collectively raised an impressive 6900+ lbs of food, assorted toys, and hygiene products that were then distributed to these local community service programs and deserving local recipients:
- The Gift, Salvation Army Chatham
- Lake Country Food Bank, BC
- The House of Blessings, Stratford
- Guelph Food Bank, Guelph, ON
- River City Vineyards Church, Chatham, ON
- Vincent de Paul, Gatineau , QC
- Airdrie Food Bank, Airdrie, AB
- The Downtown Mission Youth Centre, Windsor, ON

With over 34 buildings taking part in the challenge, there was some stiff competition. Luckily in a competition like this, everyone wins, but we’d still like to give a shout out to these ten buildings that donated the most!

- John Counter Place – 622 lbs
- Suites at Summerside – 556 lbs
- The Bellagio – 450 lbs
- Addison Square and Lady Joyce Apartments – 330 lbs

Inspired by their generosity, Skyline Living has dollar-matched each pound raised in further donations to help their donations go even further! It was great to end 2020 on such an uplifting note and we’re so proud of all of our Skyline Living participants' kindness and willingness to help out their neighbours. They truly define what it means to build strong communities!
