Skyline Living VP Wins Industry Leader Award

On April 17, 2024, BJ Santavy, Vice President, Skyline Living, was recognized with the Industry Leadership Award at the Investment Property Owners Association of Nova Scotia (IPOANS) 2024 Innovation and Excellence Awards.
The Industry Leadership Award celebrates industry professionals who exemplify outstanding leadership qualities within their organization and the larger community. These individuals contribute their time and expertise to improving the quality of life for staff and citizens in the communities in which they operate.
BJ oversees Skyline Living’s business operations, ensuring that they consistently deliver improvement in vacancy levels, operating costs, and tenant engagement and retention. She ensures that Skyline Living is directly improving the quality of life for the 35,000+ people across Canada who have chosen to call one of its communities home.
BJ believes that rental housing providers have a fundamental responsibility to support their tenants, even in difficult times. Under her leadership, Skyline Living has launched award-winning, industry-changing tenant support programs including R.I.S.E. (Reach Impact, Support, Elevate) Tenant Assistance program, which provides support, access to community resources, and/or financial assistance when a tenant is struggling with hardship.

The IPOANS Innovation & Excellence Awards are held annually to showcase the achievements of residential housing providers in Nova Scotia during the previous year. Skyline currently has seven properties in Nova Scotia, owned by Skyline Apartment REIT and managed by Skyline Living. The properties are located in Bedford, Dartmouth, and Halifax.
