The One-Pot Vegetable Garden
A one-pot vegetable garden is a great option for apartment patios and balconies:
- Select several different veggies to grow together (look for similar sun and water needs)
- Start separately in small pots indoors from seed, or just buy started plants from your local garden centre
- Once chance of frost has passed, plant your veggies in a large container (2’ x 3’ is a good size)
- Keep the soil evenly moist, place the container in the sun, and enjoy!
WINNING COMBINATION: One tomato plant, one or two pepper plants (sweet or hot, up to you!), two green onion plants, a few basil plants, and a cilantro plant. Fresh salsa and spaghetti sauce all summer long!
